Safeguarding Adults Week 2024 runs from Monday, 18 November to Friday, 22 November. The week aims to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues. The core theme for the 2024 week is Working in Partnership. We believe that working in partnerships allows us to share our knowledge of safeguarding, learn from others and ultimately create safer cultures.

This session will focus on Routine enquiry regarding domestic abuse and highlight why this is an important subject. Practitioners often report finding it difficult to use routine enquiry because they are not sure how to ask the question about Domestic Abuse, this session aims to provide you with tools to do so.

2pm to 3pm Non-recent sexual abuse
Non-recent sexual abuse is a common concern that Safeguarding Duty Hub is contacted about. These types of concerns forces practitioners to consider risk to others/public protection, consent and therapeutic relationships. This session aims to provide you with information around how to respond to these types of concerns in a way that is trauma informed and ensure risk to others is managed.
