Trust leads across Ashworth, Rowan View, Aspen Wood and our Indigo and Medicine Management services are asking all colleagues to take extra care parking and driving around Maghull Health Park.
There continues to be reports of people driving vehicles on the site without regard to the road safety signs for speed and the one-way system. A number of cars have been seen parked on kerbs and double red lines. Vehicles have been seen driving at speed across pedestrian areas and in flower beds at the front of Rowan View and cars are still being parked in disabled bays without displaying any evidence that they can do so.
This is putting patients, staff and visitors at risk. Colleagues are politely asked that this needs to stop with immediate effect. Not only do we have a duty of care but these types of actions could be assumed as breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
There will continue to be an increase in pedestrian traffic on the site, especially as new service users move into Aspen Wood and that building continues to be in use for training, meetings and tribunals.
Thank you.
Carl Howard (Head of Operations), Jonathan Drew (Deputy Director of Security) and Chris Tyack (Lead Health, Safety and Wellbeing).
