What can I expect?

We realise there's a lot to consider before starting a Multiverse programme. We're here to make sense of it all — from submitting application to enrolling, to nailing your project work and finishing with an outstanding result.

See the programme details, additional information and how to apply below.

To apply for the apprenticeship, your supporting manager will need to complete an Authorising Manager Levy application form, which can be found HERE.

This form needs to be completed by your line manager in conjunction with you the applying apprentice.  Once completed all funding applications will be reviewed by the Work Force Development Education and Training  Group. Upon approval, applicants will be moved to formal application with the apprenticeship provider

The apprenticeship team in conjunction with the universities and apprenticeship providers we will be hosting information and insight session for each apprenticeship that is offered.  The information and insight sessions are designed to give potential students a better understanding of the role, the apprenticeship course/programme and the roles and responsibilities of all parties when it comes to the apprenticeship

Multiverse will be hosting a general insight and information session for Digital, Data & AI Academy across June 2025

The Microsoft Teams session is designed to answer any questions you may have about our programmes in an informal online setting.

To successfully implement apprenticeships, the trust needs to further ensure several key resources are in place.

Work-Based Mentors

  • Role and Importance: Work-based mentors are experienced professionals and or individuals who are confident and competent within their field of expertise, who guide apprentices through their training.
  • Responsibilities: Mentors are responsible for setting work-based goals, offering feedback, and acting as role models.
  • Training and Support: Mentors themselves need training to effectively support apprentices. This includes understanding the apprenticeship standards, mentoring techniques, and how to integrate on-the-job learning.

Off-the-Job Training (OTJ)

  • Definition and Purpose: OTJ training is structured learning that takes place outside the normal day-to-day working environment.
  • Requirements: Apprentices must spend at least 20% of their working hours on OTJ training.
  • Integration with Work: OTJ training should be closely aligned with the apprentice's job role and integrated into their overall training plan. This ensures that the skills learned are directly applicable to their work.
