The Trust is currently reviewing the Relationships at Work policy to ensure it is as robust as possible to support and keep our colleagues and the organisation safe. We will make sure the policy is clear and highlights that the Trust does not support or tolerate nepotism in the workplace with respect to employment or promotional opportunities (nepotism is the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives, friends, or associates, especially by giving them jobs).

Once this policy has been updated it will be approved at Trust HR Policy Group which consists of managers from each division, staff side and colleagues from the staff networks and HR.

Further work will also include reviewing the annual declaration of interest process.
