Timelines

Car lease orders are processed within 7-10 working days of the application appearing on the portal. 

Prior to your order appearing on the portal, it will need authorisation by your line manager.

Following your order processed by MCT, Fleet Solutions will contact you within 4 weeks of the order being processed to give an estimated delivery time.

Rules

Amounts are dependable on your basic salary (enhancements are not included).  On the Fleet Car Solutions website. When processing a car, it will calculate your new hourly rate to check whether you do not fall below national minimum wage (this calculation is set by fleet solutions over the term of the lease of the car).

Unavailable to bank/agency staff

Only available to fixed term contract if MCT receive confirmation from line manager that length of contract exceeds term of agreement.

FAQ’s

What happens if I leave the trust prior to my contract ending?

If you are moving to another trust that runs the scheme, you can request for your contract to be transferred over. In all other cases you will have to pay an early termination charge (this is detailed in your fleet solutions contract), plus any excess mileage and damage charges.

What happens if I fall below the national minimum wage?

There is an alternate solution to go with salary deduction, however this is more costly as it does not receive the benefits of salary sacrifice as it does not include savings of NI, tax and pensions.

What effect does this have on my current no claims bonus?

You can ask your insurance for a letter regarding claims history at the point you cancel your own insurance, and then when you finally finish with NHS Fleet you can ask them for a similar letter.

How long will it take for my car to be delivered?

This is dependent on each individual car and manufacturer.  Fleet car solutions will contact you within 4 weeks of your order being processed to give an estimated delivery time of your car.

What happens if the wait is too long and I want to cancel my order?

You will need to contact fleet solutions to negotiate cancellation or amendment to vehicle ordered

My car has broken down, what do I do?

Breakdown cover is included with your lease agreement. Instructions of who to contact and how will be detailed within your contract.

I want to cancel my car, what do I do?

You will need contact fleet car solutions top arrange cancellation.  Please note, there will be an early termination charge (this is detailed in your fleet solutions contract), plus any excess mileage and damage charges.

How long do I have wait before my order is authorised?

Orders will be authorised within 28 days of the order. We do try to process orders as quickly as possible, however, leave and other conflicting priorities can cause slight delays.

Can I pay off my order early?

You are unable to pay any outstanding balances early with the exception of leaving the trust.

Can I transfer my orders to my new employer when leaving this trust?

Unfortunately not. If you leave the trust prior to your term of agreement the full outstanding balance will be deducted from your final paycheck.

What happens if a product I have ordered becomes damaged or broken?

Contact vivup direct and they can organise replacements/repairs in line with the products manufacturers warranty.

I have exceeded my salary sacrifice limit but finish paying the balance next month. When can I place a new order?

Unfortunately, you cannot place an order until your final payment has been made.

How do I find out what my remaining balance is?

You can contact vivup who can provide you with this information.
