Child and Young Persons Trauma Informed Care (e-learning)
The course is named: 350 Child and Young Persons Trauma Informed Care (elearning)
and can be accessed via ESR.
The training will be for the below colleagues working in Children’s and Young Persons Services only.
- Health Visitors
- Therapists
- School Nurses
- Nursery Nurses
- CYP Community CIC Nurses
- Immunisation Nurses CYP
- CYP admin (eg CIC team)
- CYP Nurse Associate/ Trainee Nurse Associate
- Team Leaders/Managers
The learning journey will be an ongoing and adaptive process which fosters a trauma-sensitive culture throughout all health and social care settings. The endpoint will be all staff understanding the impact of actual, potential and vicarious trauma on the lives of those who access services, and those who work within them, in order to reduce the potential for trauma to cause lasting harm and instead promoting post traumatic growth when delivering care.
MUST for Community Services
Following approval by the Operational Management Group, Learning and Development and Divisional Senior Leadership team, MUST (Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool) for Community Services training has been introduced as a three yearly requirement.
The course is named: 350 MUST for Community Services
and the eLearning module can be accessed via ESR.
The training will be for the below colleagues only:
- Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (excluding Dietitians) and Support Workers within Community Care Division.
The training will provide the underpinning understanding of Malnutrition and how to assess malnutrition risk. The course will provide information regarding the role of a Dietitian and how they can support with maintaining a patient’s nutritional status.
Following approval by the Operational Management Group, Learning and Development after consultation with Community Care Division, Child and Young Persons Trauma Informed Care eLearning Training has been introduced as an annual competence for the following staff working in Children’s and Young Persons Services only.
