Where will I study?
The course is delivered in a range of ways, from face to face sessions, group sessions online or remote sessions. All of the training is tutor led by an industry experienced assessor.
Who is this course aimed at?
The Team Leader / Supervisor apprenticeship is suitable for anyone in a Supervisor, Team Leader, Line Manager role. The apprenticeship will give you the practical knowledge and skills you need to start your management journey.
This course offers the opportunity to develop your skills as a team leader and to enhance your existing skills to develop your career opportunities within this field.
The skills you will learn will include conflict management, performance management and learning how to effectively manage your team.
Entry requirements
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subjects
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Must not hold an existing L3 or above in same subject.
Modules
There are 8 modules in total which will cover:
- Setting, monitoring and managing objectives and performance
- Managing resources to deliver tasks within budgets and targets
- Contributing to the training and ongoing development needs of staff
- Collating and interpreting data and sharing outputs with stakeholders
- Contributing to projects, initiatives, and their implementation to achieve goals
- Contributing to change and supporting others through change
- Communicating information to drive operational activities and supporting improvement
- Managing the team and resources to reduce carbon footprint and reduce business costs.
Assessment information
Throughout the qualification, the assessor will use a variety of assessment methods to ascertain readiness for End Point Assessment (EPA) and to ensure you meet the key Knowledge Skills and Behaviours required to achieve the qualification. These are: Presentations, assignments, observations and your assessor will support you with this throughout your journey.
The EPA consists of the following elements:
1. Portfolio review
2. Presentation with questions
3. Profession discussion(around portfolio)
