Where will I study?

Delivery through monthly, group, live sessions via teams, 121’s with Skills Coach and opportunity to attend two in person development days in London. 

Who is this course aimed at?

The programme aims to equip staff with the knowledge and skills needed to support sustainability initiatives and is particularly suited to colleagues who may not have formal sustainability qualifications but have a strong interest in the area, such as our Green Champions.

This programme is designed specifically for NHS professionals who want to lead meaningful change. It will empower you to become an active sustainability champion who can identify opportunities, deliver impactful projects, and inspire others to take action. You’ll learn how to implement sustainability initiatives that make a measurable difference across services and improve patient outcomes - all alongside your current role.

Colleagues from all professions and bands—clinical and non‑clinical—who want to embed sustainability in everyday work and lead local improvements.

Open to all NHS colleagues helping to drive sustainability within their trust. Learners must have the opportunity to put the skills and knowledge that they learn into practice through their existing job role.

The curriculum is fully tailored to the healthcare sector, giving relevant and valuable NHS context to all elements of learning.

Modules covered include:

  • Foundations for a Net Zero Health Service
  • Implementing your trust's Green Plan
  • Project, change and culture management
  • Driving sustainability with stakeholders
  • Analysing and presenting data effectively
  • Budgeting and building a business case
