It is with much sadness that we report the passing of Dr Frank McGuire after a long illness.
Dr McGuire was a highly respected clinical psychologist from our medium secure services who went on to lead the clinical development of PROSPECT Lead Provider Collaborative. With his clinical expertise, dynamism and good humour, Frank was focussed on improving care pathways for patients and their families. He was central to developing relationships across organisations and systems which gave us innovative new ways of working and real benefits for patients and staff.
Frank was part of the steering group which saw the development of Rowan View medium secure site, the first of the recent new builds on our Maghull Health Park. Colleagues in Secure Care say that Frank leaves a profound legacy and will be much missed.
The funeral will be on Monday 26 January at 2.30pm at Christ the King Church, Childwall. His family request family flowers only, with donations to Walton Centre Charity or The Dog's Trust. Any colleagues wishing to attend are very welcome.
