Dear Colleagues,

Re: Next steps as part of the Whalley transfer of services organisational change process

Firstly, happy New Year to you all.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the formal process ahead of the transfer of services to Aspen Wood in March 24. I wanted to take the opportunity to make contact with you all to update on the next stage of the process ahead of any formal correspondence being sent to you tomorrow. I am aware that we have previously committed to updating you this week but I also did not want this letter to come as a surprise without advance notice.

We intend to write to all affected colleagues tomorrow via email and the hard copies will follow in the post. These letters will be individual to those affected, and will also have an overview of the preference you indicated in your 1:1 meeting.

I know that this is an uncertain time for you and want to alleviate any anxieties you may have and as such Julia Musker has agreed to be available over the weekend to respond to any concerns or questions that you may have.

I would like to assure you that we are doing all we can to secure suitable alternative employment for those colleagues that will not transfer to Maghull Health Park with us and our collaborative working with neighbouring NHS providers continues in this regard.

If you have any immediate concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your manager in the first instance.

Once again I would like to thank you for your continued commitment to this process and our services and I would again like to re-iterate that I would like as many of our colleagues transferring to Aspen Wood site as possible.

Thank you,

Steve Newton
