Our Vaccination and Immunisation Team have been busy attending engagements events over the last few weeks to increase awareness of vaccinations in our communities.
The team visited Stanley Park Market promoting Childrens Health Week with our school nurses on Wednesday, 21 August.
They have also attended stay and play at Fountains Children's Centre. Mini munchers at Vauxhall Children's Centre and SWAN (support with additional needs) at County Children's Centre.
Our children’s immunisation uptake officers, nurse and clinical support workers said it was great to engage with parents/carer’s and children to speak about the benefits of immunisations and vaccinating against preventable diseases. They also spoke about flu season and benefits of the flu nasal spray and vaccination for the coming winter months.
