L4 Project management

Project Manager Level 4 is suitable for staff wanting to develop their project management skills and capabilities.

You will learn how to support and deliver the full lifecycle of a project or projects. Learning about stakeholder engagement, project planning, how to monitor the quality and performance of a project and identify risks and opportunities.

You will also learn about business cases and how to evaluate them to ensure the project remains valid. How to prepare, create and maintain relevant documentation for projects and learn about different project management methodologies, tools and technology to enhance productivity.

Throughout the programme you will be equipped with all of the necessary skills to become a successful, qualified project manager

Qualification achieved and its equivalent

• Level 4 Associate Project Manager
• Optional certifications – APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or PRINCE2 Foundation

*Level 4  is equivalent to a Foundation Degree, or first year of a Bachelors Degree, Higher National Certificate or Diploma. There are options to do a top-up Degree after the Level 4 to achieve a full BSc Bachelors Degree in Project Management. However, this is optional and not right for every learner.

Entry Requirements 

Acceptable qualifications include any of: 

Entry Requirements 

•        Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.) 

AND

•        5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above or Functional Skills equivalent. OR  18+ months experience in a project-orientated role on a regular basis and line manager support to achieve the off the job learning hours

•  You must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years

•  You must have residency status which covers the duration of the apprenticeship plus three months.

•  You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the subject of project management e.g. degree or masters, however, shorter courses PRINCE2, Agile or PMQ is usually ok.
