Community mental health services for older people residing in Liverpool and Kirkby, previously based at Mossley Hill Hospital and Norris Green Hub, this week completed their relocation to a new base at the former Thomas Leigh building in Knotty Ash, Liverpool.
The CMHTs will be co-located with our new specialist dementia inpatient service at 1E Thomas Lane, Liverpool L14 5NR. The relocation should not affect the referral process or telephone numbers and does not affect where the community team’s care and treatment is provided to service users – for example, out patient clinics at Norris Green Hub and Northwood House in Kirkby will continue to be provided at those sites.
The relocation is due to improvements to our estate, providing an opportunity for some specialist inpatient and community mental health services to be co-located in improved buildings with patient-focussed environments.
