Staff involved in Occupational Health and Wellbeing referrals should make sure they are aware of important actions required.

If you are a manager making a referral to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service via OPAS (Civica Occupational Health), make sure you have completed the following steps before submitting a referral.

  • Check and edit your own personal details (if required) as the 'referrer'.  It's important to make sure that your work contact number is at the top of the list in the personal details section.
  • Confirm with your team member that you have the correct contact details for them, so they can receive email / text notifications for consent, appointments etc. This is especially important if they are currently off work.

If you are being referred to Occupational Health and Wellbeing, please note:

  • Once the referring manager submits the referral, you will receive an email that needs to be actioned / responded to within two days.
  • If you are unsure about this process, or did not receive the expected email after your manager advised they were submitting the referral, please inform the person referring you.
