Since October, the National Guidelines for Cholesterol monitoring have changed. This comes as a result of the update to the Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment and Reduction guidance.

The intervention level has now changed. For a total cholesterol of 5.1 or more an intervention is now required and for a non HDL cholesterol result of 4.1 or above an intervention is again required. This change is reflected in RiO.

This does differ from the Lester Tool but as a trust this is now the agreed standard, based on NICE guidelines.
