Loop - the new way to access rosters, book annual leave and pick up bank shifts
Employee Online is being phased out, replaced by an updated app version of the same system – called Loop.
Loop is designed to give you greater control over your work life, enabling you to view your personal schedule anywhere and at any time, request leave, log call outs and request bank duties.
Whereas previously you would need to be logged into a computer to access Employee Online, Loop gives you greater flexibility and improved access to your work schedule, particularly for those staff who have limited access to a computer.
What’s staying the same?
The current functions and use of the system will remain and look the same.
You will use Loop to book and manage annual leave or study leave, and view rosters (if applicable) in the same way that you previously used Employee Online (EOL).
If you prefer to access this system on a desktop computer, you can continue to do so.
What’s different?
- How and where you access the platform will change – there will be a new link to Loop on the desktop, plus the option to access Loop through an app via a smartphone or tablet
- You will need to create an account using a personal email address and password of your choice
- There are some new features! See ‘new and improved’ below.
What's new and improved?
Loop is app based which means you can access your roster or book annual leave from anywhere, simply download the app to your smartphone or tablet. For those of us who prefer to access Loop via a desktop, this is also possible - click this link to start.
The benefits of the app include:
- View your roster and who you’ll be working with on the go
- Book your annual leave from anywhere
- Easily contact teammates who you’re working with
- Hear about bank shifts without being logged on to a desktop device.
RLDatix are retiring our current Employee Online (EOL) system and replacing it with an updated app version called Loop. Employee Online will no longer exist from 1 April 2025, so we encourage you to start using Loop as soon as possible.
Technical support for EOL will end in December 2024, but you can continue to use the platform until it’s shut down at the end of March 2025. However, we would urge all staff to download the app and familiarise themselves with Loop before March, to make the transition smoother.
- Loop will replace Employee Online from 1 April 2025 – at which point, Employee Online will no longer be available
- Loop will be app based, meaning you can download an app to your smartphone or tablet, as well as accessing Loop via a desktop laptop or computer
- Old links to Employee Online will stop working on the 1 April 2025, you will need to use this link instead or access via the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Everything you used Employee Online for previously, will be the same for Loop. For example, booking annual leave and viewing your roster (if applicable)
- The way you use the system and functionality will stay the same – many aspects of Loop will look exactly like EOL, with the addition of some extra benefits.

Yes, the app is free.
Yes, but this is permanent and should only be used if you never want to access Loop again with those log in details. Once done, you will not be able to use that account with that email address again. In the main Loop action page, under Settings and Privacy, you will have the option to delete your Loop account.
If you click to delete your account a box will come up to warn you if you continue you the account will be permanently deleted and the email address cannot be used to create an account in the future. The user has to select confirm again to delete the account.
To mute specific group notifications, go to the group page, tap the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right corner, and select Mute Settings. From here, you can mute notifications on weekdays, weekends, or both
To mute all app notifications, go to your device’s settings, select Apps, then find and select Loop. From there, you can block all notifications.
However, we don’t recommend this, as it might cause you to miss important updates.
This issue depends on your device model, screen size, and font size. To search for bank shifts on a specific unit, select the Filter option in the top right corner of the screen and type the unit name into the search field
Alternatively, you can use the desktop version on a PC or laptop with a larger screen.
