Our newMossleyHill_Topping_Out_DSCF9243-Edit.jpg 80 bed mental healthcare site in Mossley Hill is now just 200 days from completion, with its roof on and interior works progressing. To mark this, Trust leads went on site this week for a ‘topping out’ ceremony. Trish Bennett, our CEO designate, toured the works and said: “It’s looking fantastic, there’s really great progress being made.”

Trish was joined by Chief Finance Officer, Rob Collins and other senior guests. From Mental Health Care Division, lead Donna Robinson plus Lyndsey Kelly, Tonia Smith and Toni Manley were able to explore the four new wards there. Our senior nurses all collectively said how impressive and spacious the interior design was looking. They noted that the new design will give them great opportunities to deliver ever higher standards of care.

A very very small celebratory cake was cut to mark the day and colleagues had chance to network and look ahead to the landmark new hospital, which will see the end of dormitory wards in Liverpool and the move from outdated facilities around the city. Once complete, the Mossley Hill site will be handed over to the Trust next spring and open to patients after a period of staff familiarisation and training.
