On Wednesday, staff and service users took part in activities to celebrate International Women’s Day. “A great day celebrating women,” says Tracy Collard, the engagement lead in Whalley.
The theme this time was ‘Embrace Equality’ and they discussed explaining the history of International Women’s Day, what it means and raised the International Women’s Day flag.
They played guess the famous inspirational women and we made a timeline with dates that famous women were born.
After lunch at Herbstones, the team raised the IWD flag in The Circle on site, and followed this with some mocktails and canapes.
