The vaccination and immunisation team attended engagements events over the last few weeks to increase awareness of vaccinations in our communities.
Julie and the team have been working in collaboration with Liverpool City Council, raising awareness of vaccinations across the City.
The aim of the event was to 'improve school readiness, empower parents to seek support and advice, to rebuild trust and confidence in LCC and the NHS, and to reduce health equalities and improve educational attainment’.
The team had a fantastic day at the “starting school event” that was held at Liverpool football ground on Friday, 19 July.
Our Children’s immunisation nurses and immunisation uptake officer attended and said it was great to engage with parents/carer’s and children to speak about the benefits of immunisations and vaccinating against preventable diseases.
