From 1 April, we will be providing phlebotomy (blood testing) service for the first time in Southport and Formby.

The service was previously run by St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and there should be no change to the service for existing patients.

The service will continue as appointment only and available to anyone aged over 14 and registered  with a Southport and Formby GP while patients under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Clinics will will continue to be provided in the same way at the same clinics at Ainsdale, Churchtown, Formby and Southport Centre for Wellbeing, and appointments can be made by contacting:

The service also offers domiciliary visits, referrers should email their referrals and ICE forms to spc.referral@nhs.net

The Trust also plans to intoduce Simply Book, a service that allows patients to book their own appointment and clinic time online, in the near future. There will still be a telephone number for people to call if support is needed and more details will be given nearer the time.
