Take our one hour training module which will provide you with a basic overview of why research is important in Mersey Care, the types of research and innovation activity that you can get involved in, the support you can access and information on projects taking place across the trust.

Research in Practice

Research in Practice is now available to all Trust staff but may be of particular interest to social workers, nurses and AHPs who want to know more about Mental Capacity Act.

Research in Practice work with and for professionals in the social care, health, criminal justice and higher education sectors offering resources, learning opportunities and specialist expertise.

They aim to support learning to enable people – children, young people, families, adults, carers and communities – to live good lives.

What’s included:

  • Dedicated learning resources – Case Law and Legal Summaries, publications, podcasts, videos, and more
  • Learning opportunities – a rich variety of conferences, interactive knowledge exchanges, workshops, and webinars
  • Continuing professional development (My CPD) – create and export CPD logs to evidence against professional standards e.g., Social Work England, Health & Care Professions Council
  • Ongoing engagement support – Including how to get started with Research in Practice.
