We’ve had a lovely piece of patient feedback from a patient at Rowan View:
“My experience on Thornton Ward has been positive; the staff have ensured a safe, less restricted environment for all pre-discharge service users”.
The patient wrote to staff about his experience on the 17 bedded MS ward on Maghull Health Park. He talked about how medication and activities are arranged and how to overcome concerns on a busy ward setting. He added:
“Staff are very reliable...the relationship built between the nurses and patients is less clinical or authoritative than most other departments and this reflects well on the ward morale.”
A big thanks to Head of Operations Sarah Pilling for sharing the message and to Oliver Wrathall and his team on Thornton.
The patient ended his letter by saying that service users are supported as individuals who are “caught up in difficult forensic situations.”
“Overall, Thornton Ward is a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.”
Well done team Thornton and to the gentleman himself for taking time to write such a constructive message.
