We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our much loved colleague, Margaret Fillingham.
Margaret dedicated over 25 years of her life to the NHS, serving with commitment, compassion, and resilience. She was a cherished and respected member of every team she worked with and will be fondly remembered for the kindness, warmth, and support she showed to colleagues and patients alike.
In November 2023, Margaret was a deserving recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Star Award, recognising the true spirit she brought to her role. Her commitment to Iris and Taylor Wards was the heart and soul of the team for many years. She consistently went above and beyond, offering mentorship, encouragement, and compassion to those around her. Even while courageously battling cancer, Margaret continued to come to work, supporting others with remarkable strength and selflessness. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and dedication has left a permanent mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Margaret was not only an outstanding professional but also a much loved colleague and friend, whose presence brought comfort and positivity to the workplace. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The celebration of Margaret’s life will take place on Monday, 2 March at 10.00am at St John Fisher Church, Widnes, followed by Widnes Crematorium.
Colleagues are warmly invited to join the family afterwards at The Village Club, Widnes.
In accordance with Margaret’s wishes, family flowers only please.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Lilac Centre.
Our thoughts are with Margaret’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
