Over the past months, University Hospitals of Liverpool Group have been working with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board with an aim to provide specialist palliative care inpatient beds to support palliative and end of life patients in the south and centre of the city.
We are pleased to announce that Maple Suite on the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital site will open on Monday 19 January 2026.
Referrals to the unit will continue to be co-ordinated through the IMPaCT hub as previously.
