Mersey Care commissioned Mental Health Matters to provide a new, out of hours, mental health crisis service for residents of Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn which launched on 20 October 2025.
The Support Hub provides free, out of hours mental health support to residents aged 18 and over. Experienced staff offer non-clinical emotional, social and practical support to people in a mental health crisis, as well as advice, guidance and information to support wellbeing.
There’s no need for a referral, or an appointment, support is accessible in person, or virtually via phone on 07484 061 684 (6pm to 11pm) or video call. Emails can be sent to: mhm-no2
The Support Hub is based in Warrington and provides sessions one night a week from locations in Widnes and Runcorn. Opening hours and locations are:
- Warrington - Thursday to Monday, 6.00pm to midnight at Ribban Court, 20 Dallam Lane, Warrington, WA2 7NG
- Widnes - Tuesdays, 6.00pm to midnight, venue to be confirmed, check by clicking here
- Runcorn - Wednesdays, 6.00pm to midnight at Castlefields Community Centre, Village Square, Castlefields, Runcorn, WA7 2ST.
Please note, the Support Hub is not suitable for people needing urgent medical attention, for example, self harm injuries, who should attend A&E or call 999.
