World Pharmacist Day is happening on 25 September 2025. The theme for this year is Think Health, Think Pharmacist.
Pharmacists ensure safe, effective and responsible use of medicines, in community settings and advanced clinical roles. We want to raise awareness for all the work that Pharmacists do within our Medicines Management Team and how it's much more than dispensing tablets.
The Medicines Management Team will be hosting pop ups next week across Mersey Care to mark the day:
Tuesday, 23 September 12.00 to 14.00 - Clock View Cafe
Wednesday, 24 Septemeber 12.00 to 14.00 - V7 Reception Area
Thursday, 25 September (World Pharmacist day) - 12.00 to 14.00 Hollins Park Cafe
Come along to learn about medicine safety and hear about pharmacist stories, career paths, and a typical 'day in the life' of a pharmacist.
The Team will also be hosting fun activities, including a myth busting quiz, build your own blister pack, and more. There will be Pharmacists and Medicines Management staff on hand available to answer any questions.
