Senior Clinical Nurse - three month secondment opportunity 

We’re pleased to share an exciting three month secondment opportunity within the Urgent Treatment Centres and Walk-in Centres (UTC/WICs), part of our Community Care Division.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for for an experienced nurse to further develop clinical quality, leadership, and governance skills, supporting high quality care across our urgent care services.

The post holder will:

  • Play a key role providing senior clinical leadership across UTC/WIC sites
  • Support practitioners and team leaders in delivering high quality care
  • Drive improvements in clinical quality, patient safety, and consistency of practice
  • Support audit activity, learning from incidents and complaints, and service development
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aligned to urgent and unscheduled care pathways
  • Gain valuable experience in senior level leadership, service development, and quality improvement
  • An excellent development opportunity for nurses looking to broaden their experience within urgent care services

  • Duration: 3 months (approx May to July 2026)​​​​​​

  • Hours: 37.5 WTE​​​​​​
  • Base: Walk‑in Centres and Urgent Treatment Centres, Community Care Division
  • Reporting to: Associate Director of Nursing and Patient Experience
