Referrals into the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service

Action required for managers making referrals to Occupational Health and Wellbeing

When making a referral for one of your team members to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service via OPAS G2 (Civica Occupational Health), please make sure that you have completed the following steps before submitting the referral.

  • Check and edit your personal details (if required) as the 'referrer'. Make sure you move your ‘work’ number to the top of the list in the personal details section. Please ensure the same action for any additional contributors.
  • Confirm with your team member that you have the correct contact details for them, so they can receive email or text notifications for consent, appointments etc. This is especially important if they are currently off work.

Action required for staff being referred to Occupational Health and Wellbeing

If your manager has discussed making a referral to Occupational Health and Wellbeing with you, please note:

  • Once the referring manager submits the referral, you will receive an email that needs to be actioned and responded to within two days.
  • If you are unsure about this process or did not receive the expected email after your manager advised they were submitting the referral, please inform the person referring you.
