The Quality Improvement team:

Offer core training in improvement methodologies and signposting to relevant further training
- Can help you to identify potential areas for improvements in services in the following areas of Quality (Institute of Medicine, 2001), supporting the ambitions of the Trust around operational and clinical excellence.

- Provide general advice and support around quality improvement projects, including:
- Developing an improvement project proposal
- Applying quality improvement tools and methodologies in practice
- Writing up the outcomes of a piece of quality improvement work to enable you to share these and your learning with colleagues and other key stakeholders
- Provide support at various stages of improvement project initiation and implementation including co-produced:
- Discovery and synthesis - understanding the problem
- Measurement planning – how will we evidence our improvement ideas are delivering the outcomes intended
- Idea generation – coming up with some ideas as to how to improve things
- Idea testing – using the plan do study act approach
- Support around sustainability and spread of improvement
- Can help you to identify opportunities for innovation and where innovative technologies and approaches might support the improvements we want to make.
