As part of our ongoing work on flexible working, Mersey Care will be aligning to the national NHS England flexible working framework by using Electronic Staff Record (ESR) as a tool to request and record all formal flexible working arrangements.
As part of this initial pilot, colleagues can request a new flexible working arrangement through the employee self service (ESR) portal. This will allow the Trust to track all flexible working requests, monitor decisions, track compliance and drive towards embedding a flexible working culture in our organisation.

TWSS and IM colleagues will be able to process flexible working requests via ESR from 11 March, via ESR

All other divisions (Secure, Mental Health and Community) should continue to submit their flexible working requests using the process set out in the HR03 policy.
Support available
To support colleagues during this pilot, a series of ESR workshops were delivered to inform colleagues and managers on using ESR to request and record flexible working.
