As part of our ongoing work on flexible working, Mersey Care will be aligning to the national NHS England flexible working framework by using Electronic Staff Record (ESR) as a tool to request and record all formal flexible working arrangements.
As part of this initial pilot, colleagues can request a new flexible working arrangement through the employee self service (ESR) portal. This will allow the Trust to track all flexible working requests, monitor decisions, track compliance and drive towards embedding a flexible working culture in our organisation.
Things to note
-
The flexible working pilot in TWSS and IM has now transitioned to ‘business as usual’ – meaning that teams in TWSS and IM can now log flexible working requests through ESR as standard process.
-
All other divisions (Secure, Mental Health and Community) are now starting to pilot in a section of each division - all others should continue to submit their flexible working requests using the process set out in the HR03 policy
-
From 1 December, the pilot commenced with the following clinical teams:
- Community Care – CYP: Liverpool and Sefton teams
- Mental Health Care: Community Mental Health teams
- Secure Care: Rowan View teams
