To All ward based Nurses, Nurse Associates and Nursing Assistants

Following on from the communications earlier this week, I would like to provide more information on next steps in this communication with regards to how we will conclude the consultation process, which runs up to and including 2 September 2021.

The Organisational Change process recommenced on Wednesday 18 August. We have received a number of emailed questions, responses will be added to our FAQ update.

Service Managers and/or Deputy Service  Managers will be conducting a series of walk arounds of their respective areas. Staff Side and Work Force colleagues will accompany as many if not all of these events. Comments and views that you raise on the issue of R+R and Flexible Roster will be logged and shared via the FAQ updates.

Two walk around sessions have already be agreed, they will take place on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 August. They will be night walk arounds of the High Secure Site, enabling discussions with both night groups.

Microsoft Teams sessions will be set up to enable wider group consultation events, dates will be published shortly. Prior to the pausing of Organisational Change we held several positive Microsoft Teams sessions, updates on questions and issues raised are contained within the FAQ update.

I have also asked Managers to  ensure you are all aware that you can request a 1:1 session. These are not compulsory, if you feel that the FAQ updates have not answered a personal issue for you then a 1:1 can be facilitated.

If you have a general question that has not been answered in the consultation sessions, the FAQ’s or from the wider walk arounds, could I ask that you raise via the email address which is :- SecureFlexibleRosterCommuncation@merseycare.nhs.uk

I would urge all staff to contribute during the consultation sessions, walk arounds or via the email address if there are unanswered questions.

Once again, thank you for your continued support and commitment.

regards

Steve Newton
