Our work with NHS England has been recognised nationally by the country’s leading experts in restrictive practice.

HOPE(S) – the model which Mersey Care designed to successfully move service users out of long term segregation – has been adopted in Trusts across the country.

This week HOPE(S) received the Best Initiative award from the Restraint Reduction Network.

The ceremony was attended by our own Dr Jennifer Kilcoyne and Danny Angus plus colleagues from the National Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Quality Transformation Programme at NHS England who commissioned the programme.

The news was received very positively yesterday at the national steering group which is co-chaired by Sir Norman Lamb and NHS England’s Gavin Harding MBE (seen holding the trophy in the photo).
