YourInsights provides access to a wide range of BI reports containing clinical, quality and safety metrics for different services.

Service data can be triangulated with workforce and finance information by comparing to other BI reports using the Definitive Team List (DTL). For example, a team leader might bookmark a few key reports on the YourInsights homepage, and review these for their team on a regular basis.

However, we realise that it can be time-consuming to navigate through multiple reports and challenging to pinpoint important and useful insights. Improvements to YourInsights will address this over the coming year.

The BI service is currently working to develop a single “Our Services dashboard”.

By extracting core service metrics into the same report “model” as the Our People dashboard, metrics will be comparable on the same screen, using just one table or chart. As with Our People, the level of access to detailed information will be customised to specific staff roles.

The first phase will focus on information about contacts, referrals and wait times, as is currently found in reports such as Service Summary (R1300) and Patient Access (R397). As of January 2025, this first dashboard is in prototype and preparing for testing and feedback from operational staff.

This will be followed by a focus on inpatients metrics, before moving on to include a wide range of other service information, aligned to the Operational & Clinical Excellence Framework, and covering all CQC domains (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well Led).

Simplified access to data is something that staff have asked for as part of the “Your Voice, Your Change” conversations, and this is an important step towards delivering that improvement.
