The Our People dashboard is a new business intelligence (BI) report available on YourInsights, providing access to key metrics for workforce topics including training, PACE, supervision, and absence management.
This information was previously available across multiple different BI reports, but can now be accessed in a single, joined-up and interactive format. Simplified access to data is something that staff have asked for as part of the “Your Voice, Your Change” conversations, and this is an important step towards delivering that improvement.
The new dashboard should be useful if you need to:
- collect and review workforce performance data (e.g., training compliance or absence rates) for your team or service.
- share performance data on-screen during a meeting or a safety huddle.
- extract workforce data for a specific staff group, or time-period.
- explore trends and patterns over time, or between staff groups.
You are advised to familiarise yourself with the Our People dashboard as soon as you can, as this format will be replacing all current BI reports over the next year. Any workforce BiT reports eligible for replacement will be flagged with a notification banner at the top of the report, advising of an 8-week countdown to scheduled removal. If there’s any reason that you think a flagged BiT report shouldn’t be removed, please let us know using the feedback form
In the Our People dashboard, you can:
- View and compare multiple metrics on one screen.
- Choose your own metrics and filters, then save personal bookmarks and subscriptions for quick access.
- Explore patterns over time, and drill through to underlying detail.
- Share interactive dashboard views with others. For example, in Microsoft PowerPoint.
For a more detailed explanation of these key features, please take a look at the Our People dashboard training guides and FAQs.
Data in the Our People dashboard is refreshed daily from a combination of sources including ESR, Empactis, Roster, MySupervision, and PACE.
Role-based restrictions on data access are aligned to the ESR management hierarchy. All pre-existing report access permissions (e.g., from BiT reports) have been replicated, and no new permissions will be implemented without line manager approval. Please see the FAQs page for more information.
Please see the Training page for support with using the Our People dashboard, and information about joining virtual drop-in sessions.
If you have any suggestions for adding to the user guides, please let us know using the feedback form or by contacting hannah
The Our People dashboard aims to replace a range of separate BiT reports currently available on YourInsights. Simplified access to data is something that staff have asked for as part of the “Your Voice, Your Change” conversations, and this is an important step towards delivering that improvement.
BI reports will be eligible for removal once we are confident that all functionalities can be met within the Our People dashboard. Any eligible reports will be flagged with a notification banner at the top of the report, advising of an 8-week countdown to scheduled removal. If there’s any reason that you think a flagged BiT report shouldn’t be removed, you can let us know using the feedback form.
This initial version of the Our People dashboard contains a selection of key workforce metrics, aligned to the Operational & Clinical Excellence Framework. You’ll be familiar with this selection if you already use the HR KPIs (R1354) or Team Dashboard (R658) reports on BiT.
Over the next few months, BI developers will expand the dashboard to include additional metrics. Some of these metrics are migrating over from existing BI reports (e.g., additional training competencies, workforce returns, vacancies, temporary staffing activity, staff survey, People Pulse). Other metrics are currently generated using manual reporting processes (e.g., team health metrics, recruitment pipelines, safe staffing), and will require further development over the coming year.
The dashboard will also expand to include additional analytical features, such as statistical process control (SPC) charts, comparison charts, and analysis by protected characteristic (aggregated level only). Full guidance will be provided on how to use these new features at each stage.
The BI service is currently working on Our Services and Our Resources dashboards, which will use exactly the same format as Our People. Further information on these dashboards can be found at the links below:
Standardising and simplifying access to data is something colleagues have asked for as part of Your Voice, Your Change, and is a key part of the Operational & Clinical Excellence Framework.
As dashboards grow throughout 2025, staff will gain instant access to data reflecting each of the four quadrants of Mersey Care’s Strategic Wheel, all in one place.
