As part of the Clinical System Harmonisation Programme, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust's Walk-In Centres are now all utilising the same Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system called EMIS Web, which is the same system used within primary care for GP services.
Whilst Liverpool Walk-In Centre did use EMIS Web, prior to the system harmonisation work, South Sefton Walk-In Centre previously used Adastra and Knowsley Walk-In Centres previously used Rio.
In addition to standardising the system used, the operational processes and clinical forms have also been harmonised. Next steps will now involve working with the Walk-In Centres to optimise the use of the EMIS Web system to ensure the maximum benefits are achieved, whilst supporting the safe and effective delivery of care.
