About the Digital Training Hub

The Digital Training Hub provides guidance on accessing the digital skills and training required to support your role.

Digital skills training is provided by NHS Informatics Merseyside’s (IM) Digital Training Service across a wide range of clinical and business systems, including Microsoft 365 apps and other systems such as:

  • Rio
  • EPMA
  • PACIS
  • EMIS Web
  • Dragon Dictation
  • iPad Draw to Text

Quick links

Access the IM Online Learning platform to complete online learning courses and access training guides covering a range of clinical and business systems, including Microsoft 365 apps.

Use our electronic booking system to book onto clinical and business system training. Please note: Microsoft 365 courses should now be accessed through the IM Online Learning platform. From here, you can also book onto trainer led Microsoft 365 courses. 

After booking a course, please ensure you accept the invitation so that the trainer knows you have received the link to the training session. You will access your training via your Outlook calendar.

Community Care EMIS Web Training

  • Please make sure you, 'the delegate', have your username and password for EMIS Web before this training request form is completed.
  • Once the request form has been completed, it is automatically sent back to the training service, who will contact the requester and delegate with their training booking details.
  • Please make sure mark any unavailable dates, as a training date will be booked for you based on the information provided.

Important: 

  • Training needs to take place on a computer or laptop and have access to a headset and microphone. Mobile phones or tablets cannot be used for training. 

  • If your training is using hurdle, please install hurdle on your desktop or within the menu.

  • For Rio courses, please complete all relevant eLearning before the Rio virtual session.

Sandpit is an environment to use before or after training.

Please ensure you are logged out of Rio Live before accessing the sandpit environment and only use the Rio numbers of the test clients within the sandpit.

The accounts will refresh every night so any information added will gone the next day.
