Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 8 to 14 June 2026

This year’s Infant Mental Health Awareness Week is focused on the theme of ‘Attunement’ to support babies’ emotional development.

Mersey Care’s Building Attachment and Bonds Service (BABS) has a series of training events for all staff supporting parents and infants in our community. The training aims to provide professionals with the skills and knowledge to increase knowledge of infant behaviour and mental health, feel confident in recognising attuned interactions and areas where families may need more support and how to document observations.

The next session takes place on Wednesday, 17 June from 9.30am until 12.30pm. Contact the team to book your place on Cmicb-ss.merseycarebabs@nhs.net

This week the BABS team is presenting at the Breaking the Cycle of Violence Across Merseyside Conference in Liverpool, their theme is Early Intervention, Building Resilience and Strengthening Families.
