    Mental Health Act (MHA) 2025: key actions for sections that come into force on 18 December 2025

    The Mental Health Bill received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025 creating the Mental Health Act (MHA) 2025, with the vast majority of the MHA 2025 changes not yet in force and details of specific changes/impact provided here. A code of practice is now being developed, and it is possible other sections of the MHA 2025 will not come into force until the code of practice is ready for publication.

    Maghull Health Park Net2 door access migration

    On Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at 9.30am the following buildings at Maghull Health Park will have their Net2 Doors migrated to a new server as part of a wider review of security and standardisation of access levels across all sites.

    Improving neonatal services in the North West

    The NHS is looking at how to improve neonatal services across the North West of England. Neonatal services provide care for newborn babies who are seriously unwell, often because of early (premature) birth, multiple birth (twins or more), a low birth weight, or other complications.
