    Major incident: M53 collision

    29 September 2023

    Emergency services called a major incident today following a road accident on the M53 involving Wirral school children. Following the incident, the response from Mersey Care staff – particularly our community nurses – was brilliant, who offered their support to alleviate pressure across our Walk in Centres and A&E departments.

    Consultants, Junior Doctors and Radiographer’s industrial action

    The British Medical Association (BMA) and the Royal Society of Radiographers (SoR) have formally confirmed that strike action will take place on the dates below: Monday, 2 October at 7am to Thursday, 5 October at 7am (BMA Consultants and Junior Doctors. Tuesday, 3 October at 8am to Wednesday, 4 October at 8am (The Society of Radiographers)

    Eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties training update

    From the 1 October, the 350 Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Difficulties (Dysphagia) L1 eLearning and 350 Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Difficulties (Dysphagia) L2 classroom training will be a two yearly requirement.
