The 2023 NHS Staff Survey – your voice counts
We are writing to let you know that the 2023 NHS Staff Survey has now launched. Most of you will already have received an email inviting you to take part, and we urge you to complete the survey as fully and frankly as you can.
The questionnaire aligns with the NHS People Promise. The themes and words that make up the People Promise come from those who work in the NHS, and describe what would make the greatest difference to improving our experience in the workplace. By taking part in the survey, you can help us to understand what it’s really like to work here and help us to improve Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
It is important to us that you feel connected to, engaged in and proud of the amazing work you and your colleagues do every day. We know the past few years have presented many challenges for our people, teams and services, and that this has had a negative impact. Some of you have told us how you feel at recent events and through the July 2023 NHS People Pulse results. We hear you and we want to know more.
Pulse checks are an important part of our listening cycle, but only give us a small amount of information compared to our annual NHS Staff Survey. This means that this year’s NHS Staff Survey is even more important as your responses will give us the detail we need to fully understand the areas that could improve your experience at work. Your feedback really does make a difference.
We want to hear from you, whatever your role or background, so that we can be sure the survey results reflect the experience of everyone who works here. Once again, the NHS Staff Survey will be extended to bank only workers, this will help to improve the working experience of bank staff and influence positive changes that will ultimately improve patient experience and outcomes.
Please be reassured that no one from our organisation, or the NHS, will be able to see your survey or be able to identify individual responses. All responses to the survey are strictly confidential and will be handled by IQVIA on behalf of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
This year we will be running drop in sessions to answer any questions that you might have about the survey and share what we do with the results. Visit YourSpace to see the session dates.
Also, please keep your eyes peeled for our first ever Staff Survey Annual Report in the next few weeks, which will update you on all the actions we have been taking over the last year.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think.
