EMIS Web Community Training has evolved! All courses have been redesigned to offer improvements based on learner feedback. Learners felt sessions were too long, contained too much information and could be difficult for new starters to book onto a session close to their start date, due to availability.
Additional benefits include:
- Ability to support additional services on EMIS Web due to migration from Knowsley, St Helens and Southport and Formby, increasing the number of EMIS users requiring training.
- Courses are now delivered on an EMIS Training System which helps to avoid technical and access issues often experienced by colleagues that are new to EMIS.
Courses have been developed around how EMIS Organisations are configured, this means that colleagues from different services can attend the same session, offering more availability. Sessions are now shorter and focus on the essential EMIS training needed to get started. All new starters and colleagues changing services should attend EMIS Web training to ensure that they understand how EMIS is used within their new workplace.
The booking process hasn’t changed, a booking form will need to be completed to request training. You will be asked which Workflow your service uses to help direct you to the appropriate training. There is an option to select, don’t know if you are unsure, in this case a member of the team will check and get back to you.
- Workflow 1 Patient Admin module includes - Inbound Referrals, Caseloads, Rejected and Discharged Lists.
- Workflow 2 Patient Admin module includes - Inbound Referrals, Assessment Waiting, Assessment Booked, Rejected and Discharged Lists.
- Workflow 3 Patient Admin modules includes - Inbound Referrals, Assessment Waiting and Assessment Booked, Treatment Waiting and Treatment Booked, Rejected and Discharged Lists.
The answer to the question will determine which session you should book onto; the Booking Form will guide you on next steps to arrange your training.
Additional bitesize courses are available to support further skill development; trainers will recommend which ones to book after each session dependant on your role and service.
Bitesize sessions include:
- Care Plans
- EPS (Electronic Prescribing Service)
- EMIS X Mobile for Windows
- Patient Appointment Schedules
- Patient Administration Configuration
- Episode Management
Bitesize sessions can be booked at any time and are not restricted to new starters, sessions can be booked online.
