EMIS Web Community: Changes to trainer led course bookings

From Monday 3 August 2026, all EMIS Web Community Training Sessions must be booked through the IM Online Learning (IMOL) platform. IMOL provides access to a comprehensive range of clinical systems and digital skills training. This includes new starter and supplementary trainer led courses, online learning and guides.

New Starter Training

New starter training is a requirement for anyone requiring access to EMIS Web.

From Monday 3 August, colleagues requiring EMIS Web Community access should self-book their new starter training through the IM Online Learning (IMOL) platform.

Supplementary EMIS Web Community Training

Additional training sessions are now available through the IM Online Learning (IMOL) platform to help existing users build confidence and make the most of EMIS Web in their day-to-day role.

These short, virtual, trainer led sessions focus on specific modules and topics. Most sessions last one hour, making them easy to fit around busy schedules.

  • EMIS X Mobile (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Care Plans (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Caseload Optimisation (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Episode Management (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web EPS – Electronic Prescribing Service (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Patient Administration Configuration (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Patient Schedules (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Searches and Reports (Community Care)
  • EMIS Web Tasks (Community Care)

How to book

  1. Visit the IM Online Learning (IMOL) platform.
  2. Select Mersey Care from the organisation dropdown list.
  3. Select Book & Request Training from the top menu.
  4. Select Community Care Bookings.
  5. Choose either: 
    • Supplementary Courses for additional EMIS Web training, or

    • New Starter Courses for new starter training.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to view available courses and enrol.
