A huge thank you to Josephine Brady, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Student (School Nursing) based in the South cluster of Sefton School Health, for planning and co-ordinating Mersey Care's contribution to an amazing local event in the Seaforth community.

Josie saw a fantastic health promotion opportunity for Sefton School Health to hold a stall to help raise awareness of the service and to also share important messages with local parents and carers. Vital information shared included the recent measles breakout and the immunisation schedule, dental health, healthy eating and much more.

Josie communicated with local residents, connecting on a level that meant others felt safe and well informed.  The children and young people who attended the stall were happy to meet and interact with Josie, making use of resources to explain the importance of meeting their health needs on an age appropriate level.

Josie also collaborated with other community services that were present at the event, providing opportunities for future partnerships. Overall, the event was a great success. Well done Josie!
