Bootle Green Team has been named Team of the Month for September 2025, recognised for their extraordinary compassion and dedication to patient care. The team went above and beyond to support a palliative patient whose daughter brought her wedding forward so her mother could attend. The district nurses provided an additional evening visit to ensure the patient’s medication needs were met, allowing her to spend the night in a hotel with her daughter before the big day.
On the wedding day, the team visited the hotel again, enabling the patient to be present for the entire celebration including the evening reception. The family expressed deep gratitude for the team’s efforts, which made it possible for the patient to share in her daughter’s special day. This story is a testament to the Bootle Green Team’s commitment to delivering person-centred care and supporting families during life’s most significant moments.
