We have recently been made aware of a supply issue for Vacuette Safety Blood Collection Sets and Needles. However, we don’t have specific information in terms of the scale or duration.
The cause of the supply issue appears to be due to the ongoing situation with the availability of shipping containers and the continuing global impact of COVID-19 on the overall supply chain and production.
To deal with these stock delays, a trustwide oversight process has been implemented with representation from each division. Please be assured that no issues are envisaged for the upcoming bank holiday weekend and adequate supplies are available.
The situation will be monitored carefully, and solutions are being explored.
The main items affected are:
- Vacuette Safety Blood Collection/Infusion Sets: All version/combinations, including Blue Butterflies
- Vacuette Blood Collection Needles: All versions/combinations
In light of the current situation, do not over order or stockpile these items, and where possible, please use sparingly.
