On Tuesday, 29 July at 3pm a three minute silence will be held to honour the lives of Alice, Bebe and Elsie.
This period may be difficult for the children and adults involved, as well as the local people who rushed to support and the emergency responders who may have suffered the psychological impact of the attack.
In respect of this deeply personal time, Sefton Council have asked that no floral tributes are to be laid at Hart Street or at school settings. The council are encouraging people to consider donating to local worthwhile causes such as the Southport Stronger Together Appeal, Elsie’s Story, Bebe’s Hive, North West Air Ambulance and others, in lieu of floral tributes.
Flags will be lowered to half-mast on all public buildings in Sefton and across the City Region as neighbouring authorities and partners remember together.
If you wish to observe the silence, please make your own local operational arrangements.
Please remember there is lots of support available, please check our wellbeing pages on the extranet
In addition, the Sefton Council website hosts a central resource of information and signposting to support.
