On 5 July 2023, the NHS marked 75 years of service. We celebrated this milestone throughout the Trust by showcasing the best of the NHS.
Whalley
Head of Service Julia Musker and Operational Support Manager Kim Seed mark 75 years of the NHS with a tea party in Whalley for our LD service users and staff.
The Mersey Care Charity
Vikki Davies, Carer Engagement Officer, Participation and Engagement Team celebrated the NHS turning 75 at V7 with the NHS Big Tea.
Joanne Watson, Senior Charity Fundraising Manager and Faye Williams, Charity and Engagement Programme Administrator also celebrated at Hollins Park!
The Life Rooms Walton
The Life Rooms Walton celebrated NHS75 with service users and cake!
They have also shared some stories of those who access The Life Rooms and what the NHS means to them.
Occupational Health and Wellbeing
On Tuesday, Katie Derrick and Neomi Lomax, Health and Wellbeing Facilitators - Workforce Health and Wellbeing celebrated the NHS turning 75 at Hollins Park with the NHS Big Tea.
On Thursday, the team celebrated again, this time with staff at V7!

Single Point of Access Team
Our team is Single Point of Access (SPOA) in Puma Court celebrated the day by enjoing a selection of nut, dairy and gluten free cakes and getting into the spirit with some party hats. The team provide administrative support for community services across Knowsley 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year, so if there’s any excuse for cake, they want in!

Mental Health Admin Hub at Peasley Cross
Tea party in our Mental Health Admin hub in Peasley Cross. The team raised £120!
Warrington Older Adults Community Hub
Susan Young retired Senior Nurse Practitioner from the Warrington Older Adults Community Hub provided an Afternoon Tea for the staff in the team to celebrate 75 years of the NHS. In the team they have several retire and return nurses who have worked in the NHS for over 40 years.
The pupils from Year 6 at Oldfield Primary School in Chester sent us heart shaped Thank you messages.
Older Peoples Functional Unit - Heys Court
Older Peoples Functional Unit Heys Court celebrated 75 years of the NHS with a look into the past.
Occupational Therapist, Rachel Molloy, was supported by service users to produce a timeline of the NHS through the ages starting with its inception right through to modern day and the breakthroughs in medicine in between. They looked at the history of the NHS in Liverpool and researched the historical hospitals within our city alongside some of the uniforms worn throughout the eras.
It made for a fantastic project and an even better conversation starter for staff, service users and carers, many of whom had worked within the NHS.
Service users also enjoyed a tea party and a cake to celebrate.
Kirkby Urgent Treatment Centre
Kirkby Urgent Treatment Centre received flowers and cards from Kids Planet Nursery Kirkby, to wish the NHS Happy Birthday!
Park Run
Jenny Young, Admin for Knowsley Community Nursing Team, took part in NHS75 with her running club In Croxteth Park Saturday, fantastic turn out for a fantastic service.
