Older Peoples Functional Unit - Heys Court

Older Peoples Functional Unit Heys Court celebrated 75 years of the NHS  with a look into the past.

Occupational Therapist, Rachel Molloy, was supported by service users to produce a timeline of the NHS through the ages starting with its inception right through to modern day and the breakthroughs in medicine in between. They looked at the history of the NHS in Liverpool and researched the historical hospitals within our city alongside some of the uniforms worn throughout the eras.

It made for a fantastic project and an even better conversation starter for staff, service users and carers, many of whom had worked within the NHS.

Service users also enjoyed a tea party and a cake to celebrate.
