Next week, from 8 to 12 May, we are holding a number of events for NHS Equality Diversion and Inclusion Week.

The themes each year are suggested by NHS Employers, they are inclusive recruitment, psychological and physical safety of staff, pay gaps and health inequalities.

 

 

 

 

Wednesday 10 May

As part of National Staff Networks Day, we will be raising awareness of our networks. Our staff networks include ability first network, multi-ethnic colleagues network, dyslexia and dyspraxia staff network, LGBTQ+ network and womens staff network.

From 10am to 11.30am, the women’s staff network meeting will be discussing Health Inequalities after relaunching last month. If you would like to join, please contact: Alison.Paul@merseycare.nhs.uk. You will be sent a teams link before the meeting on Wednesday morning.

From 12pm to 1pm there will be a joint staff networks meeting on Microsoft Teams, discussing together we are stronger.  This session is open to all colleagues and will be led by Chairs from across our Staff Networks.  Click this link to join the meeting

Thursday 11 May

From 10am to 11am, Candice Ryan and Bianca Opera, from our Organisational Effectiveness Team will discuss psychological safety and the impact on multi-ethnic colleagues on Microsoft Teams. This will be an opportunity to find out more around the work on our Perfect Care Goal on anti racism. Click this link to join the meeting

From 2pm to 3pm, this Microsoft Teams session will be led by Alison Paul and Cara Donnelli-Hunn to share a presentation of the Mersey Care Access Guide Project with an opportunity to ask questions. This is in the run up to the next stage of the Trust wide Access Guide Project. The next meeting is 6 June at 3pm.  Click this link to join the meeting

Friday 12 May
