The way that you log jobs with Estates is changing on 6 October
From Monday, 6 October there will be changes to the way you log jobs with Estates.
What is changing?
A new and improved system, called Micad, will replace the current 3i Studio Estates Portal on Monday, 6 October 2025.
All reactive works (faults) on sites located in Formby, Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington will need to be logged via Micad. All other sites should continue to follow their current reporting process.
All staff requesting minor works (paid works) will need to refer to the new minor works process.
Why change?
This change is part of our ongoing efforts to modernise and improve how estates-related work requests are raised, tracked, and managed across the organisation.
Unlike the current system, Micad requires you to register as a first time user, and log in to input works going forward.
Logging in will be a new step in the process when using Micad. To support you, we have produced a step by step guide, which will be available here from 6 October.
The benefits of having a user account bring new features - see below.
What are the benefits?
The new Micad Helpdesk system introduces several improvements:
- User accounts and login access
Unlike 3i, Micad requires users to log in. This enables users to view updates at any time on their work requests, without needing to contact the Estates helpdesk. - Real time job tracking
You will be able to log in to view the status of your work requests at any time. - Improved communication
Receive timely updates and notifications on the progress of your estates work orders. - Attachment support
You can upload photos or documents directly to your request, helping the Estates team respond more effectively.
Visit YourSpace, where you will find step by step instructions and links to both the Micad system, and minor works request form.
