Lyndsay Thomspon has been newly appointed to the role of Freedom to Speak up Guardian.

The role had previously been held by Bernie Rochford who has taken up a post in Essex.  

The post received a lot of interested and over twenty applications from highly skilled and motivated candidates from both inside this Trust and from other areas of the country.

Lyndsay has been a Mental Health Nurse for 22 years and worked for several different organisations that have been acquired by Mersey Care. She has recently focussed her work in urgent care and CRHT .During the pandemic she was very active in the developing the COVID testing track and trace and courier service. Lyndsay is skilled and very interested in IT systems and has already helped the team in using varying systems in the Trust . She also loves a good spreadsheet and has quickly become the teams data person.

Lyndsay is very excited to be working as a Freedom to Speak Up guardian as she wants to help colleagues have their voice heard so that where needed changes can be made to enhance staff ,and patient safety and wellbeing.
