Every year on 23 November, colleagues in healthcare and nursing celebrate support workers. The day is noted by the Royal College of Nursing, Skills for Health and across the NHS.

Amanda Oates, our Chief People Officer, says: “I’d like to thank all our support workers, in every part of the trust, for their invaluable contribution to patient care, for their role in improving the experience of our service users, working with staff in wards and community settings and being right at the heart of our ambition for perfect care.  Thank you and have a great Support Workers Day!”

Staff in Secure Services talk about being a support worker in Maghull Health Park in the following video.

And Divisional Director Steve Newton, who started his career as a support worker, has this message for staff:

Mossley Hill site

Hear from one of our Occupational Therapists visiting the new mental health facility under construction in Mossley Hill in this short video.  He’s impressed!  The site, which has four wards, will be handed over to us in just over 130 working days ahead of opening to patients in the second half of 2024.
